How I survived degree?

DISCLAIMER : These are the things that I did to get through my degree and not practically enforced to other people. Lain orang lain cara. I just want to share with people. Thank you 🙂

Assalamualaikum to my readers especially the AS244 juniors. This post is for you. Haha.

desktop_work hard

About a week ago, I received an email regarding the future of science students, job opportunities kinda stuff. Seriously guys? I mean like you’re literally are freshies and you already want to dig out the negativity out of your current course? Come on. Jangan kalah sebelum berperang. Hahaha. Honestly, I was like you guys. Rasa macam nak tukar course and it was just the first day of lab session.

Feels like you’re making the wrong decision also rasa macam dah tak minat Sains, it is totally normal actually. I was in your shoes. I’ve been there. Semua tu hanyalah sandiwara fikiran kamu yang sebenarnya acah-acah tak ready untuk masuk degree. Dalam kepala cuma fikir apa? Degree susah, rumah jauh, UiTM Shah Alam besar sangat so penat nak jalan kaki dan naik bas blablabla. Suka cari alasan untuk diri sendiri then kesiankan diri sendiri. I’m not blaming you guys bcs I also felt the same way in my first semester. Pathetic tak? Haha. But since I’m a diploma student so I know the drill. Semuanya bermula dengan paksaan. Squeezed out those independence and good vibes out of yourself! Believe me, you’re ready.

1. Be independent

Sounds lame but in order to survive, PAKSA diri to be independent. Tak payah sampai setiap minggu nak balik rumah ulang-alik nak basuh baju lah apa benda. Sekali-sekala takpelah. Kalau susah, take your time bcs in comparison with diploma/asasi/matrikulasi/etc, degree life agak mencabar so be prepared. Dalam kelas pun tak semua lecturer akan suap kita with notes and everything. Pandai-pandailah nak study guna internet, buku dan past year questions.

2. Score good grades in first and second semester

Tak bermakna tak perlu struggle untuk semester 3 dan ke atas but this is what I did. Alhamdulillah I got dean’s list award untuk semester 3 dan 4 (I started my degree on 3rd semester) and then I applied for JPA scholarship. Alhamdulillah after the complicated procedures, I managed to get it. You still boleh apply for JPA scholarship tajaan dalam negara tapi I’m not sure its still open or not dan kalau tak silap, application tu hanya setahun sekali and applied untuk students yang berbaki 3 semesters lagi. The amount is based on your course and your campus location so they would give the right amount untuk kos sara diri. No worries, memang cukup perbelanjaan tu. Hahaha.

Ada yang risau sangat pasal peluang kerja lepas degree nanti kan? So ni nak bagitau ni. For my JPA scholarship application, the agreement shows that I have to work with the government for 4 years (the contract duration is based on your semester in total dan jumlah tajaan). See? Right there you already have a safe place for your future. Sekurang-kurangnyalah kan? Even tak tau yang boleh dapat kerja ke tak but at least kontrak tu ada and you don’t need to worry sampai tak cukup tidur bagai.

After habis degree, boleh lapor diri tamat belajar and boleh start tengok dan apply jawatan-jawatan yang sesuai.

u

Nampak tak ruangan sebelah kanan tu? Punya banyak jawatan yang boleh dipohon for science student and this is only for SPA. Belum try lagi yang lain-lain tu. So siapa yang kecoh sangat cakap kerja for Biomolecular Science students ni hanya ada kt overseas la, kt Malaysia takde kerja lah. Come on.

3. Alone time

Masa degree ni, kadang-kadang tak perlu sangat nak ada geng. For me lah. Kalau its a group of friend yang willing to study together tak kisah. That’s a good thing but sometimes being alone is much easier. You have control of everything. Nak makan bila, kt mana, nak hantar assignment bila, nak buat projek bila, nak tidur pukul berapa all that stuff. Bukan nak halang daripada buat kawan but for me yang memang totally introverted ni, enjoying my alone time lagi best. So memang takde istilah lonely kt degree life ni. Pandai-pandailah memilih kawan.

4. Stuff you need

Bila dah degree life ni masing-masing dah tau kan nak kena ada apa as a student. Laptop, stationary, kertas, buku nota blablabla tapi kt sini nak buat penambahan sikit. For me, a student should have a printer. Tak payahlah nak beli yang mahal-mahal. Banyak je printer yang bawah RM200. Apa lah salahnya guna duit PTPTN/JPA/MARA buat beli printer sebijik. Untuk kesenangan korang jugak nanti. Tak payah nak ulang alik pergi Print Expert lah amende. Sebab nanti dah menjelang final year, korang taulah betapa pentingnya sebuah printer. Hahaha. Pendrive pun jangan lupa. Senang nak copy notes dan save kerja.

5. Leisure time

Study study jugak tapi still kena ada masa untuk enjoy. Sekali sekala pergilah tengok wayang ke main bowling ke shopping kt mall ke. Nak cakap aku banyak duit la tu. Siapa cakap? Aku pergi mall pun untuk makan dengan cuci mata je. At least dapat jugak hilang stress buat FYP. Larat ke nak mengadap bakteria 24/7 ? Haha. Siapa cakap nak hilang stress kena guna duit?

Lagi satu, aku ni kaki movie. Setiap hari wajib bukak laptop dan tengok movie. Even masa final pun time duk study tu, boleh lagi layan movie. Sebabnya aku ni jenis cepat bosan dan tak boleh buat satu kerja dalam tempoh yang lama. I get bored easily like kalau tengok movie 3 saat takde action, aku tukar tengok movie lain, that kinda bored. Hahaha. So masa study takdelah stress. Masa study tu ce enjoy-enjoy sikit tapi nasihat aku, jangan tengok drama bersiri ke sekuel ke sebab 100% sure yang korang akan lagha, lalai dan kemudian akan tidur. Haha. Tak pun, try study sambil main DOTA. Boleh? Hahahaha.

6. Makan makanan yang sedap sikit, boleh?

img_0568

Bab ni paling penting dan paling disukai ramai. Makanlah selagi boleh makan. Jangan tau nak berjimat then melantak maggie je. Nak upgrade sikit makan samyang la amende la. Makanlah nasi. Lauk kan banyak. Nasi dengan ayam ikan sayur tu semua lagi sihat. Dahlah sihat, sedap pulak tu. Haha. Bukannya apa, great minds is made up of great food consuming. When you get energy, barulah boleh study. Betul ke idok? Tapi dah duit korang so pandai-pandailah nak makan apa kan.

img_0430

7. Cara study, jawab exam

Ada jugak yang tanya cara aku study. Let me tell you. Setiap orang waktu dan cara belajar lain-lain tapi cara aku macam ni.

  • Aku suka study waktu pagi dan malam. The most efficient period for me to memorize something. Kalau nak study something yang bertulis or calculations, tengahari or petang.

  • Waktu study tak pernah langgar waktu makan sebab aku jenis cepat lapar. Bila dah sampai waktu makan tu, stop study dan silakan pergi melantak.

  • Waktu tidur depends. Kalau mengantuk, terus tidur sebab waktu tu kalau baca pun memang otak just fikir nak kira ada berapa Shawn The Sheep yang lompat pagar.

  • Make sure ada internet access. Bunyi macam melalaikan but for science student it is important sebab senang nak Google facts and theories yang kurang pasti kesahihannya. Gitew. Tapi jangan acah-acah cari facts kt Instagram pulak. Nampak sangat lagha.

  • Study based on past year questions dan buat setiap soalan tu TOPICALLY. Kalau buat sekaligus ikut tahun, sumpah bosan. Besides, kalau buat ikut topik nanti boleh nampak trend dan pattern soalan tu.

  • Buat simple mind maps. Aku guna pensil dan kertas A4 kosong. That’s it. Kalau ada masa, underline the key points guna colourful pens.

  • Aku suka menghafal dengan cara menulis berkali-kali. Tulis banyak kali nanti lama-lama boleh ingat. Trust me, it helps.

  • I memorize EVERYTHING. Kalau tak ingat semua pun at least make sure everything is registered in your head. Time exam nanti semua akan terlintas keluar from your head. True story.

  • Masa exam, make sure JAWAB SEMUA SOALAN. Jangan tinggal kosong. Percayalah. Apa yang korang tulis tu might contribute some marks jugak sebenarnya. Keep digging your brains out walaupun apa yang keluar cuma 0.01%.

These are the basic things that I can think of.  Maybe tu je kot yang aku boleh explain sedikit sebanyak apa yang aku buat time degree dulu and I managed to graduate soon, finally. If there any questions you would like to ask, boleh hantar email, pm kt FB, dm kt Twitter, Instagram. Semua boleh. I always reply ASAP. Hehe. Thanks and good luck, juniors! ❤

p/s :  If ada sesiapa yang nak hard copy notes untuk semester 6 dan buku Statistics yang masih baru dan cantik, boleh contact.

Just give me that scroll already!

Seriously, I have no idea that the result of the final exam came out today. Seems that I’ve been enjoying my post-degree life way too much. Hahaha. Before that, I would like to summarize  about my final semester.

This Semester 6 was kinda relaxing but there was a hell side of it. Relaxing in this context means that the timetable was not packed like other previous semesters due to only 3 subjects are required for class attendance. No class for the other 3 subjects.

1) BMS661 – PROTEOMICS

Need to attend classes. As usual need to complete the course work by completing the 3 tests, lab reports, assignment. Study about proteins.

2) BMS665 – BIODIVERSITY AND CONSERVATION

This subject is an elective subject. You can take the other one which is about drugs something like that. Also, has classes, tests and assignment. The fun thing is the field trip. Study about biodiversity, flora and fauna etc.

3) STA408 – STATISTICS FOR SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING

Some Biomolecular students already took this subject in Semester 2 (due to difference in diploma background). Has tests, quizzes, assignments. Focus on calculations, obviously.

4) BMS671 – ETHICAL & LEGAL ISSUES IN BIOTECHNOLOGY

NO CLASSES! Just answered online questions given by the selected lecturers BUT some lecturers might wanna do a class if they want to. NO FINAL EXAM but has debate session for the title given.

5) BMS672 – TOPICS IN BIOTECHNOLOGY

NO CLASSES also! About 5 students will be monitored under a selected lecturer/supervisor to find articles and answer online questions given. NO FINAL EXAM but need to do a presentation on a selected article.

6) FSG661 – RESEARCH PROJECT II

The most important part of your degree. The only thing that I’ve been whining throughout the semester. Hahaha. Sacrifices need to be done for this. Energy, tears, sleeps and even money. You really need to put your mental and physical at the maximum level. It was a big deal for me since it took about 5 times of trial to get the desired result for my project. Not only that, after getting the result, you need to go through ‘torturing’ presentation. Its not that bad. Just make sure you’re prepared.

NOTES FOR SEMESTER 6 HERE

And as promise, for the result, …

Picture1

I think its quite okaylah, kan? Hahaha. Like seriously, I don’t even care about my grades anymore as long as my project and the thesis are completed. That’s all! I’ve done my best and alhamdulillah, I graduated in the first class degree. 3.50 is really atas pagar, you know. Hahaha. Alhamdulillah again.

It is such a relief to see the word ‘COMPLETE’ there. Road to graduation.

Degree life’s chapter done. ❤

I’m unofficially graduated!

Define satisfaction.

13738278_1400845863264521_6603280888059470912_o

A great pleasure feeling of freedom and now, I know how it feels like. Alhamdulillah. In the long run, I’ve managed to complete my Final Year Project (FYP) and my very own thesis. Basically, I’m a half way in getting my degree and by that I mean degree in Biomolecular Science in case you’re new here. Alhamdulillah again!

Frankly speaking, it was not easy. I cried like literally in every semester for different reasons. I’m extremely exhausted, the mistakes that I’ve made and the pressure that was way beyond my control. All in all, it was hell. Hahaha. It took almost a year for me to get the thesis done and the strain get more intense especially a month before the presentation. The only thing that I could describe is that NOTHING you should be terrified about unless you’re not prepared. Get it? Ah. Lemme give you a little heads up on how you should handle/manage your FYP thingy :

  • Beware of the important dates esp the due dates of submissions.
  • Get connected to your supervisor regularly.
  • Stay alert on the thesis format.
  • Do corrections right away on your free time. Procrastination kills!
  • Keep in touch with your friends on any related important information.
  • Don’t try to solve your own problems but brings it to your supervisor.

That shall do it. Basically, it is all ordinary stuff that you already know. Common sense. Just in case if you have any questions, send me an email. I’ll reply it ASAP. I’m unofficially graduated until the result announcement. Right now, I can finally blogging in peace without any interruption. I would like to proceed with my products’ reviews because you know it’s my jam. Hahaha. I’d bought tonnes of products especially makeup and I really want to share with my precious readers about them. Wait for it.

Thanks ❤

FYP Presentation

Assalamualaikum and hey!

I am so in the mood of writing right now because of the biggest burden has been removed from my shoulder; the FYP presentation. Alhamdulillah. Yesterday was a historical day for me. I managed to get it over with. For us the final year student, the only thing that we can think of in this last semester is this. Its all about this presentation AND it is not an ordinary one BUT it is kinda torturing. You’ll never know how your project will turns out. Positive results or negative results? You need to juggle your time management wisely.

IMG_4989

Facing six panels out of seven was a toughie. Seriously, I was nervous and not very well-prepared. Four hours of sleep was not enough guys. More unlikely, I’m the 4th presenter. Hahaha. There’s one thing I flabbergasted about was that I’m not shaking! Normally, I was nervous as hell and it can be seen on my hands obviously. Alhamdulillah for that. I think, I’m more into presentations now. Getting used to it. It is a good thing tho.

I was lucky this time. Dr Maslinda who is the senior lecturer for our program always asks lots of questions or giving opinions on like everything that makes her curious. Honestly, since she taught us on the third semester, we’re kinda terrified of her. Hahaha. BUT lucky me, I’m the only student that she didn’t asked and it was a miracle. Haha. Who would had thought of that? I managed to ‘escape’ from her!

IMG_4926

Actually, I didn’t put too much effort on my FYP (juniors, pls don’t try this at home. Haha). I know, I know. In the beginning of the semester, there’s nothing that encouraged me at that time because I feel exhausted of my previous FYP proposal writing. It was chaos. I spent a lot of time on that and I want to rest, take a chill pill. Haha.

Alhamdulillah. I can’t believe its almost over. ❤

P/S : If you want me to do a special post for the tips on this FYP stuff, leave a comment down below or send me an email.

Thanks ❤

AS114 – Diploma Mikrobiologi : Internship

Assalamualaikum and hello!

Dah lama rasanya tak taip post yang panjang sebab memang tengah busy sekarang. Tinggal beberapa bulan untuk officially habis degree insyaAllah. So excited! So hari ni nak share sikit pengalaman praktikal masa time diploma dulu since ada adik-adik yg tanya. Meh ahkak nak bagitau ni.

Time aku praktikal tu kalau tak silap dalam 2013 macam tu la. I’m not sure kalau student AS114 yang sekarang ni still ada praktikal ke or ada perubahan ke so janganlah tanya akak ye sebab akak memang tak tau apa dah jadi kt sistem UiTM kt Kuala Pilah tu. Hahaha.

For the internship, Hospital Sg Buloh is the only place yang accept aku punya resume and calls untuk praktikal so aku malas dah nak mintak kt tempat lain. Haha. As we know, during my time,  it is compulsory for every student utk pergi industrial training in final semester. Majoriti science students memang akan pergi praktikal. Contohnya under my faculty ; Faculty of Applied Science banyak course yg mewajibkan student utk pergi praktikal such as Diploma in Textile and Food Technology.

Cakap pasal tempat praktikal actually banyak tempat yg boleh kita mohon macam hospital, kilang2 industri or any companies yg memang ambik student praktikal. Classmates aku ramai yg mintak kt hospital as kitorang more to lab practical so selalunya akan diterimalah. Ada jugak yg mintak kt Sime Darby, kilang Gardenia, Jabatan Kimia, MPOB, makmal veterinar.

23022011070

Actually aku tinggal kt Perak tapi saja mengada nak mintak area Selangor. Nak menimba pengalaman di negeri orang kateko. Hahaha. Lagipun best what. Boleh belajar macam-macam kt tempat orang. Boleh explore dan berdikari sikit. Nanti time nak kerja, at least pengalaman tu dah ada. Jangan asyik nak dekat dengan rumah je. Merantau sikit sekali-sekala. Barulah best!

11775843

hosp3sgbuluh

hospitalsungaibuloh

Honestly, aku agak terkejut beruk bila first touchdown kt hospital ni. Tak pernah seumur hidup aku tengok hospital yg ada escalator. Hahaha. Jakun. Kt sini aku praktikal kt Pathology Department kt ground level. Kepada yg tak tahu praktikal berapa lama? 3 bulan weh. 3 bulan nak jakun dengan escalator dan aku hanya berdua dengan member intern sesama kt sini so better berpakatlah dengan kawan nak mintak tempat praktikal sama. Kalau ada member syok sikit.

FIRST & SECOND DAY

First and second day kitorang duduk kt Integration Lab. Ada kaunter utk doctors or any staff hantar sample. Tugas kitorang ialah acknowledge sample and lekat2 barcode kt sample so nanti senang nk manage utk hantar kt lab yg sepatutnya.

2013-11-1816-30-00

1 MONTH

Then, masuk lab Mikrobiologi. Sebulan posting kt dalam lab ni sebab kitorang major pun in microbiology so rotate setiap seksyen 1 minggu which is

1) Sample processing
2) Identification
3) Plate reading
4) Drugs sensitivity
5) Blood

The most favourite section of course lah sample processing ataupun kt sana panggil culture section. Reason? Sebab at this section lah more to practical which is the streaking method and all. Memang paling favourite! Tambah pulak main job kitorang kt sana buat Gram Stain je kejenya. Dah lali sangat dah sebab almost everyday duk buat benda alah tu je. Haha. Kitorang tak kisah pun sebab kalau duduk saja boring lah pulak.

tttt

Nahhh aku siap edit lagi pic ni nak tunjuk betapa aku belajar sesuatu sangat dalam lab mikrob tu. Hahahaha. Sesuatu lah sangat. First thing yg buat aku impress giler is tempat bakar loop tu. Seriously macam batak plus jakun plus peghak. Almaklumlah kt UiTM dulu mana ada benda alah ni. Nak bakar loop kemain berebut bunsen burner. Belum lagi cerita pasal fire starter rosak, gas bunsen burner habislah bagai. Guna benda ni barulah efficient gitu.

One more thing aku lupa nak bagitau, kt hospital ni punya bos kt Jabatan Patologi ni tak bagi student praktikal hands-on. Means tak bagi kitorang sentuh apa2 melainkan hanya observe sahaja. Since ada staff yg memahami dan ada jugak yg tak kurang malasnye bagi kitorang handle samples from A to Z. Alhamdulillah sangat sebab dapat staff yg understanding so kitorang dengan baik hatinya tolong sesape je yg mintak tolong even kerja yg takde kena mengena dgn mikrob pun still kitorang buat dgn senang hati. Bukannya apa. Dah kau larat nak duduk saje tercangak tak buat apa2. Memang taklah. Baik aku balik tidur je. Hahaha.

Tempat letak Gram Stain samples dengan media plates yg belum guna.
2013-11-2116-38-52
Reagent untuk Gram Stain

2013-11-2112-29-21

Haaaa tudiaaaa. Orang lain selfie ambik gambar muka. Aku ambik gambar tangan ber-glove sambil buat Gram Stain kauuu. Inilah kerja tetap kitorang. Kt sini sistem Gram Stain dia 1 1 3 1. Apakah? Ini diaaaa. Jangan cakap korang tak belajar pasal ni ye. Benda basic kot as microbiology student. Haha.

1) Crystal Violet       1 minit
2) Lugol’s Iodine      1 minit
3) Acetone Iodine    3 saat
4) Safranin              1 minit

Selalunya guna alcohol as decolourizer tapi kt sini guna Acetone Iodine but konsep dia sama je as decolourizer jugak. Untuk masa staining tu ada timer dia. Ala2 jam loceng lah jugak. Haha. So masa staining tu alert la sikit kan. Takdelah overstain ke apa. Karang salah buat tak pasal je kena marah.

2013-11-2112-44-01

Then, lepas staining tu bolehlah observe under mikroskop. Letak setitik immersion oil then observe lah. Selalunya tengok ada pus cell, epithelial ell and bakteria apa. Information record dalam sistem dalam PC macam dalam pic ni Kak Shida tengah buat.

2013-11-2715-14-05
Identification section as in Biochemical tests etc.
2013-12-0212-21-41
QC section

Masa kt sana boleh dikatakan antara tempat yg paling relax giler is media preparation. Orang cakap patutnya tempat masak media lah yg paling busy sebab nk kena buat agar plate sampai beribu-riban tapi time kitorang tu pulak dapat dengan sorang akak ni yg jugak pregnant and hanya masak something ikut mood dia. Dah kalau pregnant tu mood dia memang nk rilek goyang kaki jela kan.

Kalau masak pun semua mesin yg buat. Daripada awal bubuh bahan2 semua sampailah ke isi dalam plate dengan label plate. Semuanya mesin yg buatkan. So jangan salahkan aku kalau goyang kaki serta tangan dalam bilik media.

2014-01-2709-00-15

Haaa gambar kt atas ni namanya stirrer. Function dia utk mixing media powder yg dah dicampur dalam air. Kiranya macam kalau bancuh air milo kita kacau sampai larut pakai sudu kan? Haa kalau media ni dia maju sikit. Takdenye nak pakai sudu bagai. Ni kita letak magnetic stirring bar dalam botol yg dah ada air dgn serbuk media yg kita nk bancuh tu.

24017-magnetic-stirrer-bar-1
Bukan pil perancang tapi ini magnetic stirring bar

Pastu letak je atas hotplate tu. Disebabkan ada magnet dalam hotplate dgn stirring bar tu so dia akan mix automatically macam dalam pic kt bawah ni ha.

cb3022

First time tengok benda alah ni memang agak jakun jugaklah. Haha. Terus terfikir kalau nk buat milo guna benda ni. Hahaha. Kt dalam bilik media ni ada 2 jenis mesin. Mesin yg boleh buat media dalam 200-300 lebih agar plate dengan mesin yg boleh buat 1000 lebih agar plate. First day masuk akak tu explain macam mana nak masak guna mesin yg kecik tu.

ggbb

Mesin ni pun sama buat aku jakun jugak. Sebab memang mesin tu je yg buat. Kita just masukkan agar powder dgn air je. Pastu boleh blah nak pegi tido ke makan ke main Subway Surfer ke. Lagipun dia dah siap autoclave kan lagi. Kalau macam dalam lab kt U semuanya kena buat manual. Masak guna oven then nak kena autoclave sendiri. Nak pour pun manual. Jenuh weh. Kalau ada mesin ni time fyp memang goyang kaki lah wey.

2014-01-2009-41-37
Nak masak Sorbitol MacConkey agar untuk E.coli 0157:H7 isolation dalam stool sample

Masa ni tengok akak tu masak dah rasa macam Chef Wan. Periuk dia pun boleh tahan gak. Dah boleh dah nk masak sup gearbox dalam ni. Hahaha. Cuma masa masak tu make sure temperature dengan pH dia no problem.

yyyy

2014-01-2010-04-54

Itulah serba sikit cerita dalam bilik media. Bnyak lagi kerja yg aku buat tapi takde gambar pulak. Hahaha. Pastu nk cerita pasal dalam lab Mycology pulak. For the first time aku tengok pipette ni. Lagi sekali aku terjatuh dalam gaung kejakuna. Hahaha.

uuuuuuuu

2013-12-2316-12-48

TEMPAT PENGINAPAN

Okehh sekarang aku nk cerita pasal UiTM Sg Buloh. Kt sini Faculty of Medicine. Memang bebudak medic jelah yg ada. Kampus besar gila bak hang tapi kolej ada 2 je then yg hebatnya kolej ada 9 level and ada lif. Best tak bestnya jadi budak medic UiTM kt sini. Almaklumlah kampus baru. Aku dgn lagi 4 orang classmates sewa hostel kt sinilah sepanjang praktikal ni. Lepas tolak tambah nego2 sikit, dapatlah RM260 sorang sebulan tolak weekends dengan public holiday.

Agak bersyukur jugaklah sebab waktu ni banyak cuti umum so kurenglah sikit sewa tu kan. Tolak cuti Krismas, New Year, Thaipusam, Maulidur Rasul. Mana taknya. Kira sewa RM13 utk 1 hari. Tapi bila aku pergi survey rumah sewa kt area2 hospital tu harga pun lebih kurang jugak. Dalam RM250++ jugaklah. Rumah takdelah selesa mana. Baik aku duduk dalam hostel UiTM yg super duper cozy ni. Selamat plus selesa gila kot. Meh aku bagi tengok sikit acano rupa hostel dia. Ala2 apartment kateko.

2013-11-1715-04-48

2013-11-1715-05-03

2013-11-2314-42-00

2013-11-2314-41-34

Nampak kan betapa selesanya lahai duduk sini. Macam homestay pun ada. Macam hotel pun ada jugak. Berbaloilah dengan sewa banyak camtu. Lagipun standard lah belah2 Selangor ke KL ke sewa camtu. Biasalah waktu ni aku pun first time sewa2 rumah ni.

So conclusion dia, praktikal ni memang best. Aku rindu betul nak menyembang dengan member satu rumah, dengan staff kt hospital. Memang aku takkan lupa pengalaman praktikal selama 3 bulan ni.

Sweet memories. 18 November ’13 – 7 Februari ’14 ❤

Just one more thing nak ingatkan yang sepanjang praktikal ni kadang-kadang memang ada staff yang akan suruh kita buat kerja yang luar dari bidang kita. Macam aku dulu, kena susun fail kertas, shred paper dari pagi sampai petang, kikis ais dalam peti sejuk dan macam-macam lagi. Jangan mengamuk pulak. Kena faham yang semua staff busy dan takde masa nak buat kerja yg remeh-temeh sebab tu budak praktikal selalu dipanggil. Hahaha.

My own advice, pilihlah tempat praktikal yang sediakan elaun such as tempat-tempat industri macam Sime Darby. Lagi berbaloi kalau ada gaji. Then, tengok jugak tempat tinggal. Kalau boleh survey cukup-cukup dulu sampai puas hati. Ok itu jelah kot. Anything boleh email jelah ye.

Thanks for dropping by ❤

Study Tips : My Study Habits

Assalamualaikum.

tumblr_static_tumblr_static__640.jpg

I received a few emails especially from the juniors asking me on how I study, how I get good results and stuff. The thing is different people really have their own and different method or acceptance towards any kind of learning techniques. It is all depends on how much are you willing to spend your time studying, your energy, what do you need during studying and what can makes you focus. I’m not an expert in studying but since you’re asking for it, these are the things I always do.

1) Find the right time to study

You need to find a period where you can relax and enjoy studying at the same time. You know, the perfect moment where suddenly you surrounded with good vibes cheering for you to study. For me, I can read and memorized easily if I do it in the morning and night. I guess I had found my specific and strategic time to study. What’s yours?

2) Mind maps and short notes

As usual, I always working on mind maps and short notes that can be referred to during the exam week. It doesn’t have to look nice with all colourful words unless you prefer that way. Pencil is the best. Can be erased easily and I write more faster with pencils. I only used colourful pens to underline the important points OR sometimes, for the different topics and chapters. Fyi, I just wrote them on a blank white A4 paper and divide it into a few parts by folding it so I can write more. No colour papers. I don’t fancy any colour papers or shimmering-glitters ink pen.

3) Past year questions

Past year questions is like a gold mine that you need to dig over and over again but yeah, it can be extremely boring. What did I do? Do the questions TOPICALLY. I can get really bored (also annoyed) if I do it altogether year by year. It is less complicated if I do it topically and also, I can see the questions’ pattern for each year. Honestly, I enjoyed doing it that way.

4) Read EVERYTHING

It is not a serious problem if you don’t remember everything but just read every single thing (of course it would be better if you understand them all). Make sure all the information are registered inside your brain. It would come out during the exam. I’m serious. This is actually happened to me like every time. The best thing, it will help you to goreng if you’re blank. If you’re lucky, you’ll get 1 or a half mark and its better than nothing.

5) Preparation

Always be prepared and ready for exams. I’ll make sure that I memorized everything like every single words or important points. Make sure there is nothing that can spoil your day. Remain calm for like 24/7. There’s no use if you keep panicking. No monsters in the exam hall.

6) Answered everything!

Always give the best performance during the exam. Never left any unanswered questions. You MUST write something even you did not know the answer. Keep digging inside your brain. There must be something inside that may help you with the questions even it is only 0.01%.

7) What I do during lectures?

For class, make sure you’re keeping track with what the lecturer trying to teach you about. Honestly, I don’t really pay attention in each class but I’ll make sure that I understand everything. Always, always, always write when lecturers are giving you extra notes. They are one of the most important thing that will finally help you in understanding each topics.

8) Extra stuff

Constantly looking for supplementary notes and information from the internet and books. This will help you in point elaborations. Talking the truth, seriously, I hate books but I love to dig in the internet to find everything I need to know.

9) Studying alone

All my life, I don’t really think that group discussion would worked for me so I prefer studying alone. Not that I’m full of oneself, but if I do it alone, I’m incharge in everything. I have a full control of myself; either I want to eat something while studying, take a nap or something. Hahaha.

10) Tawakal

You’ve done your best so just leave it to Allah. He knows better. He knows your struggles. Never ever regret of what you get.

Hope this helps. Thanks for dropping by ❤

Motivational Monday

Assalamualaikum and hey! 🙂

DISCLAIMER : I’m not being a peacock here to post this. Please behave and calm your expectations, assumptions, perspectives and impressions. I’m not going to responsible of any jealousy, hatred or even a psychotic act. *wink

This time, I’m gonna passed my writing position to the American Authors. Yeah, they’re in charge today. Today ONLY. Hahaha.

I had a dream so big and loud I jumped so high I touched the clouds. Yes, you guys rocks! 😀

Why I proposed this song for today’s entry? Remember my super miserable final exams timetable last month? Guess what, I nailed it! I am entirely shocked with my results which came in my email last Friday. Seriously, it was beyond my target and expectations.

Alhamdulillah, alhamdulillah, alhamdulillah. *cry

It is a sweet moment when you’re finally realized that you always can do better from time to time. Doesn’t matter if there’s anything that holding you back but you keep walking or even running forward, never look back. It is delightful when all the hard works and tears paid off. Yeah, I cried sometimes especially during my PMS. Haha. It is satisfying, you know.

On the other hand, Z also being such a brilliant when…

I wowed. Keep staring on those pointers just like in a fantasy. It was unbelievable. Alhamdulillah again. Z and I struggled every single day during the exam week and now, all have been paid. I am so happy I’m gonna cry when receiving the email. Hehe.

How I study? :

  • As usual, I always working on mind maps and short notes that can be referred to during the exam week. It doesn’t have to look nice with all colourful words unless you prefer that way. Pencils is the best. Can be erased easily and I write more faster with pencils. I only used colourful pens to underline the important points. Fyi, I just wrote them on a blank white A4 paper and divide it into a few parts by folding it so I can write more. No colour papers.
  • Always refer on the past year questions and do the questions TOPICALLY. I can get really bored (also annoyed) if I do it altogether year by year. It is less complicated if I do it topically and also, I can see the questions’ pattern for each year. Honestly, I enjoyed doing it that way.
  • I find that I can read and remember more things if I do it in the morning and night. I guess I had found my specific and strategic way to study. What’s yours?
  • Always be prepared and ready for exams. Make sure there is nothing that can spoil your day.
  • Remain calm for like 24/7. There’s no use if you keep panicking. No monsters in the exam hall.
  • Always give the best performance during the exam. Never left any unanswered questions. You MUST write something even you did not know the answer. Keep digging inside your brain. There must be something inside that may help you with the questions even it is only 0.01%.
  • READ EVERYTHING. It is not a serious problem if you doesn’t remember everything but just read them all. Make sure all the information are registered inside your brain. It would come out during the exam. I’m serious. This is actually happened to me everytime. The best thing, it will help you to goreng if you’re blank.
  • For class, make sure you’re keeping track with what the lecturer trying to teach you about. Honestly, I don’t pay attention in each class but I’ll make sure that I understand everything. Always, always, always write when lecturers are giving you extra notes. They are one of the most important thing that will finally help you in understanding each topics.
  • Constantly looking for extra notes and information from the internet and books. This will help you in point elaborations.

I guess that’s all. These are the things that I actually do during my study and exams. I’m just a normal people who like to go shopping, watching movies in cinemas with my boyfriend like everyone else but when it come to study, I’ll make sure that I’ll be focus.

One more thing, I believe that helping others also is one of the reason behind my success. I feed cats whenever I see them and I keep saying to them,

Please pray to Allah. Pray for me.

I guess their prayers were answered. Alhamdulillah. Congratulations for those who had achieved a reamarkable results. Just have faith and always believe in yourselves. Ignore unimportant things. For those who do not satisfied with their results, there is no such thing as failure in this world if you always have a chance to make a real success. It really doesn’t matter if you fall down once in a while. Besides, it makes you stronger than ever. I never look people in terms of failure or lack of success because I always believe.

I’m not showing off but I want to keep myself motivated.

Alhamdulillah. Hope my tips helps. Thanks for reading ❤ 😀
